Last weekend I saw Brothers Past at the Beat Kitchen in Chicago as part of the Green Apple Music Festival. This show was pretty much perfect for the late-night festival crowd: a total dance-party.

Some hardcore fans have been a bit on the fence since BP picked up their new drummer. But this show seemed to win over a pretty solid constituency. I already posted a brief review of the show, but I thought it would be fun to throw together a few highlights for a little taste of Brothers Past in the process of re-discovering their mojo. While the crowd noise on these recordings is a bit loud, I think it adds to the whole late-night dance party ambience. Enjoy!

Tracklist:
1) Big Blue Apples
2) Love Will Tear Us Apart (Joy Division cover) >
3) Let’s Start a Gang >
4) The Mirror

Total running time: 43:58

The entire show is available for download/streaming at the Live Music Archive.
