festivals/10klf.jpgThe 10,000 Lakes Festival (10KLF) has announced a 2nd round of artist additions to its initial line-up.The new additions are solid, though not terribly surprising, and include:

The Disco Biscuits
Keller Williams
New Riders of the Purple Sage
Pnuma Trio
God Johnson
GypsyFoot
Bump
Mr. Blotto
The Burnin’ Smyrnans
The Heavy Pets

It’s nice to see the Disco Biscuits fleshing out their summer festival appearances early, and who knew New Riders of Purple Sage was still going strong these days? Cool; Garcia would be proud.

We’ll see what other additions are around the bend, but this one’s shaping up to be a pretty solid line-up for the festival’s 5th year running.

If you’re gonna post last week’s news, you might as well add something insightful to the mix, no?

jesus guys let the man be, he’s just getting into the swing of things.

anyways, the New Riders addition is pretty hot in my opinion, as is Mr. Blotto since they’re Chicago regulars. Not sure if I can go this year or not though…

Old news to you is still new news to someone else. Consider yourself uber.

Yeah, ya know, maybe I should have dropped everything and squeezed this “breaking news” post into my 65-hour workweek? Sometimes these types of announcements just don’t require a 1,000 word post, my man.

But maybe he’s right? Maybe I should have taken the time to write a long thought-piece on how the Disco Biscuits actually announced a tour date more than 2 months in advance? I have plenty of insight into that situation.

Also, if you want to criticize me for lack of insight, you could at least make an insightful suggestion of your own, no?

cheers, wp

No kidding!!

Instead of criticizing, why don’t you step up to the plate and do something useful? You can contribute to the Live Music Blog by submitting news to them, so that they aren’t “posting last week’s news.” It’s a friendly jester and I’m sure they appreciate it:)

Whenever I find anything in the music scene that is really interesting news, the first thing I do is check if the Live Music Blog has it. If not, then I email Justin with a heads up. Thing is though, is they usually already posted about the topic:) Simple, huh?

Do you run a blog yourself? I do. Do you really think that anyone on the face of this earth can sit in front of a computer and scan the Internet for all of the recent news? Let me tell ya, keeping a blog up to date with all of the most recent news is NOT as easy as it sounds, and is very time consuming.

i’m not trying to be “that guy” becuase everyone hates that guy… but does anyone have any idea about any more additions? any other headliners maybe? what about Bela w/ or w/o Edgar Meyer, a little Bruce Hornsby, some bluegrass (Jerry Douglas w/ or w/o Alison Krauss and the band), don’t kill me but maybe a little STS9? anyone have any thoughts or imput, i’m all ears.

I feel a widespread reprise with a slice of cheese into an allmen bros reunion would really hit the spot. Considering the confirmed artist!
